Summer Gallery Visit #1 (July 22, 2022)
Museum of Fine Arts, Boston
The first museum I visited was the Museum of Fine arts in Boston. This museum had a wide range of mediums and movements everywhere I walked. I walked for hours in this museum admiring all the work from historical to contemporary and from sculptures to paintings. The works that attracted me the most were the paintings. I am very fond of the impressionism and post-impressionism movement and this museum had a wide range of paintings from well known artists such as Van-gogh, Signac, Renoir, Monet, Pissarro, and much more. Looking at the works from great artists gave me inspiration for future works and admiration for their skills. I very much appreciated the opportunity to visit this museum and hope to visit it again one day.
Summer Gallery Visit #2 (July 24, 2022)
Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum
The second museum I visited was the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Besides the beautiful architecture and nature of the museum this museum contained a variety of portraits and objects from different time periods and cultures. This museum is also very known for one of the biggest art heists in history during 1990 where multiple artworks were stolen and have not been found to this day. Works such as The Storm On The Sea Of Galilee, The Concert, Chez Tortoni, and much more were stolen that year. Although I was not able to see great works as those, I still viewed many great pieces I found interesting and awing. Much of the work I saw were from older time periods from either the Asian or European countries. The works I found much interesting were from Vermeer, Paolo Veronese, and John Singer Sargent.
